Cardozo to join several 87's alum in the fall of 2025

The New Jersey 87’s are proud to announce that Dan Cardozo has committed to play Division III hockey for Lebanon Valley College for the 2025-2026 season.

Cardozo, a 20-year-old forward from White Plains, NY, has 25 points (15g, 10a) in 20 EHL games this season. Since joining the 87’s midway through the 2024-25 season, he recorded 12 points (7g, 5a) in six games.

Head coach Adam Houli spoke about Cardozo and his contributions

“Dan has been a great addition to our team since the break, he’s been a pure goal scorer for us, exactly what we thought and I think he’s going to be exactly that at the next level. I’m very excited for him to get there, I know coach (Don) Parsons is really going to love the player he’s becoming,” Houli said.

Lebanon Valley College is a Division III school located in Annville, PA. Competing in the Middle Atlantic Conference, the Flying Dutchmen are led by head coach Don Parsons.

Cardozo spoke about his commitment and what it means to join an NCAA program in the Fall of 2025.

“It means everything. Since I started playing hockey, all I wanted was to get to the college level so it’s pretty exciting to know that I’m finally there,” Cardozo said.

The 87’s currently have four alumni playing for the Flying Dutchmen: forward Blake Dustin as well as defensemen Jack Foote, Ian Lindberg and Dylan Gutierrez. Houli and Cardozo both spoke about the former 87’s who are currently playing for Lebanon Valley College.

“To join other 87’s there, that team is really going to be a good team in the next couple of years, so it’ll be fun to watch our guys do well over there,” Houli said.

Cardozo said he had a chance to speak with some of them while visiting the school. “When I went to visit the campus I met with a few of them, (Blake) Dustin and (Jack) Foote, they seem like great guys and spoke very highly of the program so that definitely helped me in deciding where I wanted to go,” he said.

The White Plains native also credited Houli and the rest of the 87’s staff for preparing him to play at the collegiate level.

“Since I’ve gotten here it’s been a great experience, I think Adam has been preparing me pretty well for the college level and I think they do a tremendous job here moving guys on to the next level,” Cardozo said.

The 87’s organization would like to congratulate Dan as he prepares to advance his hockey career to the Division III collegiate level.
