New Jersey 87’s and Philadelphia Hockey Club Split Week Series

The New Jersey 87’s faced off against the Philadelphia Hockey Club in a two-game series this past week, with each team taking one game.

January 15th, 2025
In the first matchup, the 87’s defended their home ice with a strong 5-3 victory. They dominated the pace of play, outshooting PHC 49-34. The offensive charge was led by Alex Haar, Tyler Chafe, Landon Adams, Alexander Legkov, and Aidan Lasky, who each found the back of the net. Between the pipes, Florentin Fally-Puskas delivered a solid performance to secure the win.

January 17th, 2025
The second game of the series saw the 87’s travel to PHC, where they came up short in a 5-2 loss. Landon Adams continued his impressive week with another goal, while Daniel Cardozo added the second tally. Despite their efforts, the 87’s couldn’t overcome PHC’s attack in this road contest.

After the split, the 87’s improved their record to 20-9-1-0, holding firm in second place in the South Division standings.

NJ 87’s EHLP Team Splits Weekend Series

The NJ 87’s EHLP squad hit the road for a two-game series this past week, earning a split with a win over the Pennsylvania Huntsmen and a loss to the Union Jr. Thunder.

January 17th, 2025 – NJ 87’s 2, Pennsylvania Huntsmen 0
The 87’s started the weekend strong with a 2-0 victory over the Pennsylvania Huntsmen. Lucas Glover and Thomas Pearsall provided the offensive spark, each tallying a goal. The game was highlighted by goaltender Frankie Smith, who not only earned a shutout but also made history by breaking the EHLP record for most career shutouts with 8. His stellar play between the pipes secured the win and cemented his legacy as one of the league's best netminders.

January 18th, 2025 – NJ 87’s 2, Union Jr. Thunder 5
The momentum didn’t carry into Saturday’s game against the Union Jr. Thunder, where the 87’s fell 5-2. Chris Esramus and Aliaksei Liseyenka managed to find the back of the net, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Thunder’s offensive push.
